Our Mission
Rink Dude was built around a simple belief: every kid deserves the chance to play hockey. That mission is personal to our family.
Growing up in Colorado, Luke’s dad, John Grahame, loved hockey and dreamed of playing goalie. But hockey was expensive, and there was a time his family simply couldn’t afford the equipment he needed.
Someone in the hockey community gifted him goalie pads.
That support gave John the opportunity to stay in the game he loved. Hockey would eventually take him from Colorado to junior hockey, college, the NHL, a Stanley Cup and the Olympics, but our family has never forgotten that before any of that happened, there was simply a kid who wanted to play.
Years later, when Luke started Rink Dude, we knew giving other kids that same opportunity had to be part of it.
That’s why 20% of every Rink Dude purchase goes toward helping kids play hockey. Not because every kid needs to make it to the NHL. Because every kid deserves the chance to step onto the ice. To be part of a team. To make friends. To learn how to win and lose. To work hard, laugh in the locker room, take road trips with their family and make the kinds of memories that stay with you forever.
To fulfill our mission, Rink Dude partners with United Heroes League, an organization that helps military families access sports by providing equipment, camps, grants and other opportunities for their children.
Through every purchase, the Rink Dude community helps put more kids on the ice and gives more families the opportunity to experience the game we love.
What started with someone helping one kid stay in hockey has come full circle. Now we get to help the next one.
